Besides the cafe and shop, viewing of the cedar barrels holding soy sauce mash (moromi) as well as antique tofu-, soy sauce-, and miso-making tools and photographs are available on the 2F.
YAMAKI JOZO artisanal products such as various kinds of miso, shoyu, tofu products, pickles, ume-related, soup stocks, flavored salts, as well as organic crackers sesame, seasoning mixes, and local ingredients are available for purchase in the shop along with a range of sweets and cookies. Tastes of miso, soy sauces, tofu produts, and pickles are also offered.
A throughtfully curated collection of small Japanese gift items such as chopsticks, wooden spoons, socks, handkerchiefs, and coin purses make great choices for gifts.
Enjoy a light yet filling miso soup set lunch or an unusually delicious vegetable and soy milk curry rice set (or several other equally enticing menu items) at the cafe before stopping for a cone of miso or tofu soft serve ice cream accompanied by a crisp, yet softly textured tofu donut. A simple tea or cup of organic coffee can also be ordered if no time for a bite, and in the summertime snow cones (Kakigori) with artisanal syrups are on the menu.
